Activities are planned to provide a holistic education that caters for every aspect of a child’s development: physical, social, emotional, creative, intellectual and spiritual. An interactive emergent curriculum allows the teachers to plan themes and lessons. The curriculum at Bright Stars Daycare also ensures that all the children are equipped with the necessary skills for Grade 1.
In the early morning, children spend time in the classroom working with the teacher on various skills and activities. During ring time each class engages in discussions relating to the current theme, as well as completing creative activities, learning songs and rhymes. A fruit snack is then served, then free outdoor play commences.
Meal time is a wonderful opportunity for the children to socialise and build relationships with their peers. The children take turns serving each other a delicious balanced meal with a glass of water or juice.
